Aikido Dojo Scotland - The Club
Aikido Dojo Scotland is a community website for the Aikido club which was established by Stephen Colville, 5th Dan, based around Bathgate, Scotland.
Stephen was a student of Morihiro Saito Sensei and he has had a long tradition with the Iwama style of Aikido. Stephen invites people of all fitness and ages to discover the art form of Aikido, whether it be for fitness, fun, to study or just to meet new people!
The club offers an excellent avenue into beginning to study the art form. Classes include practising a range of skills including unarmed forms and weapons. The emphasis in Aikido is based on working with partners and not competing against them which in no way defeats the effectiveness of the techniques.
